Classes

Below is a list of common classes that can be delivered to your organization.  Other classes are currently under construction. 

All instructors have practical knowledge of the subject areas and have actually done the jobs on real incidents.

If you have a special need that is not addressed by the classes listed, Texas IMT can customize a class to fit your individual needs.


 

ICS-300    Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents

This is a 3- day, NIMS compliant course that exceeds normal curriculum objectives.  It will introduce the student to the needs of expanding incidents and take them through the processes to be successful in smaller incidents that may last into multiple operational periods.

Prerequisites: ICS-100, ICS-200, IS-700


 ICS-400    Advanced ICS for Command and General Staff and
                   Complex incidents

This 2-day NIMS compliant class introduces the student to complex incidents and outlines the responsibilities of the Command and General Staff.  It also describes the process for managing and coordinating multiple incidents.

Prerequisites: ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300, IS-700, IS-800
                   recommended



Planning Section Class

While not a NIMS compliant class for position specific training, this class gives the student a practical hands-on, knowledge of the processes utilized in multiple operational period incidents or planned events.  All four of the Planning Section Units are covered in detail to give the student information that will be needed to manage challenging events.

This class normally takes at least a minimum of three days to cover the material, but the length can be customized to meet your specific needs.

Prerequisites: ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300, IS-700, IS-800
                   recommended


 Logistics Section Class

This class is designed to aid the student in the management of challenging incident that last for multiple operational periods.  All Units of the Logistics Section are covered and lessons learned and best practices are provided by the instructors that have actually been there.

This class normally takes at least a minimum of three days to cover the material, but the length can be customized to meet your specific needs.
